Why? Do you find yourself sitting at home looking wistfully at your art materials or getting inspired by instagram but never actually getting round to putting pencil to paper? Perhaps its hard to prioritise creative time when there’s so many other things to do at home, or maybe you just need a bit of a nudge to pick up where you left off.
Come along to our Happy Anorak presents... evenings in Long Buckby and (re)discover your creative side.
April – June: Sketch Lab – an art club for beginners through to professionals.
Bring your tools of choice – sketch books, pencils, pens, pastels, tablets… and choose your own style – or accept our optional drawing challenges.
All abilities welcome – no judgment and no pressure. This is a friendly, inclusive space to enjoy drawing, sketching, doodling, 2D illustration, comic strips, manga, cariacature – you decide.
Sessions are informal and loosely structured – we’ll bring ideas and inspiration but if you are working on your own project or have your own plan that’s also fine.
We’ll provide scrap paper and pencils, hot drinks and sweet treats, music and a friendly face.
Over 18s only, £4 per session to cover costs – pay on the night (cash or card).
